What does OverView do with my tools?

It reads them, through their APIs, and nothing else. No data is written into your tools, which remain the system of record. If you stop OverView, they are exactly as you left them.

Do I have to migrate or replace my CMDB?

No. OverView works as an overlay: it reads your CMDB, compares it with the other sources and shows you what it is missing. Several customers use it to feed consolidated data back into it.

What does the AI do, and on whose key?

You never have to go through the AI. The visual, no-code KPI Builder is still the standard way to build and read your metrics. OverView Workbench builds metrics and dashboards from a plain-language request, and publishes reports every time the inventory is refreshed. Anything that touches your data runs on your own AI account, with the provider you choose. Your team can also plug in its own assistant through the MCP connector.

How do my on-prem tools get into OverView?

Two paths. OverView OutPost is a virtual machine in your DMZ that relays your internal APIs, outbound only. DropPoint is a drop-off space for your CSV and JSON exports. Either way, no VPN to configure and no agent.
